One e-Book,electronic book (or digital) and also called ecolibro, can be an individual work or in digital format, that is to say, a device used to read books in digital format. The e-Books allow a reading on screen of any work prepared for this digital format, in the last years have been developed new prototypes and have been realized advances to improve the characteristics.

The digital books have the aspect of a screen, a screen that imitates the form of a book. This type of format takes advantages as the universal access, its availability is immediate, its price is lower and so on. Nevertheless, also it has certain disadvantages as it can be the consequences for the health of the sight.

There is a great fight between the book printed against the electronic way. The functions of the paper are the following ones: luxury (reading, leisure, study, object with patrimonial value), static (it remains fixed) and passive (it does not intervene in the cognitive processes). On the other hand, the functions of the digital support are these: practical and economic (consultation, navegation, investigation, information, instrument, tool), dynamic (it updates and adapts the profile of the reader), and intelligent (it processes, elaborates, selects, translates, and so on).

These electronic books are a new way of reading which answers to a zeal to extend the area of reading to a major sector and also of adjustment to new times. This supposes a technical revolution in the reproduction and reading text.
